When running any online keyword marketing campaign, the last thing anyone is looking for is low search volume keywords.

My SEO brethren are here because they are trying to find out how to find low competition keywords with high traffic.
Regardless of how or why you landed on this page, the information I’m about to share with you may change the way you look at keyword campaigns entirely!
WTF Does That Shrimp Thing Have to Do with Low Search Volume Keywords?
Well, that little dude is what is known as a krill… stick with me here…
Krill are tiny little shrimp-like crustaceans that live in the ocean and only get up to about 2 inches in size.
They also happen to be the sole food source for the largest animal on the face of this planet, the blue whale.
So how does the largest animal on earth get to be 200 tons eating little 2-inch swimming scampi?
Simple, they eat a metric shit-ton of krill every single day.
(A metric shit-ton converts to about 4 tons or 8000 lbs.)
That’s a lot of krill!
Taking a page from the blue whale’s book, we can leverage large amounts of small (low volume) keywords to gain massive amounts of traffic.
This is what I call the Blue Whale SEO Content Strategy.
The Low Competition High Traffic Keyword Process
Like I stated earlier, most people are looking for low competition high traffic keywords and rarely do people look for low competition low traffic keywords.
Let’s briefly play out what ranking for a low competition high traffic keyword would look like.
First you would need to start with keyword research.
Unless you pay for professional keyword research software, finding high traffic low competition keywords is going to be nose-bleedingly frustrating… and take forever.
Let’s say your fast and get that process done in about 2 days.
Next, you need to write an article, or pay someone to write an article targeting that keyword.
Sweet, another day or two down the drain.
So, you’ve edited and posted the article. Now you better hope it’s interesting enough to gain organic backlinks or you better start some link building yourself.
That whole process can literally take months.
When all is said and done, you’ll be ranking for a decently popular keyword that can bring in around 2,500 visitors a month from a 10,000 search per month keyword.
It just took you a month or two to get there…
The Low Competition Low Traffic Keyword Process
Now let’s look at how the Blue Whale SEO strategy plays out.
You take a broad idea and run it through a keyword expansion tool to give you literally thousands of keywords.
You take that keyword list and pick out a few keywords that have around 200-400 searches per month and are easy to write about.
This should take you about an hour.
Next, you sit down and quickly write an article targeting your low search volume keywords.
If you write naturally and at a decent speed, this should take two to three hours max.
Post the article and that’s it!
No extra backlinking necessary.
Low search volume keywords have such low competition that they rarely require much content or any backlinks to rank for.
So that’s about 4 hours to target 3 keywords that have a total monthly search volume of 800.
The top website from Google can expect to receive around a quarter of that, so let’s say 200 visitor per month.
Repeat that process twice per day.
Over 30 days, you would have built up your search traffic to around 12,000 visitors per month.
